Our Core Pledge
We value your trust above all else. We do not sell your personal information, cooking credentials, or voting history to advertisers. Every piece of data we collect is used solely to run, optimize, and secure the Food Battle platform.
1. Information We Collect
We collect data to set up your chef profile (username, optional bio, email address) and dynamic data during battles (your dish uploads, culinary descriptions, and community votes). We automatically collect connection details (IP address, browser information) to prevent voting fraud and botting activity.
2. How We Protect Your Data
All credentials and data flows are secured using robust encryption protocols. Passwords are salted and hashed by Supabase Auth infrastructure. Public upload storage buckets are protected using Row-Level Security (RLS) constraints, ensuring only authorized creators can manage their uploaded food photos.
3. Voting Privacy & Integrity
To protect battle fairness, we store voting hashes on your device (via localStorage) and record voter metadata in our database. While aggregate battle statistics are fully public, individual voter selections are shielded to prevent targeting and chef harassment.
4. Your Data Rights
You retain absolute ownership of your culinary content. You can update your profile name, change your chef bio, or delete your open battles (provided no rival has challenged your entry) directly from your Dashboard. For complete account deletion requests, you can contact our support team.
